Meet the Team: Rinzin Dorji

I am Rinzin Dorji from Bumthang, Bhutan. Bhutan is a tiny Himalayan Kingdom rich in biodiversity, covered in 71 % of its geographic area by forest and 51% by protected areas. I work under the Department of Forests and Park Services in Bhutan since 2013 after completion of my Bachelors of Science (Hons.) in Forestry from India. Bhutan is one of the very few countries in the world to feature environmental conservation explicitly in its Constitution and mandates that “a minimum of 60% of the land is under forest cover for all times to come”.
