A native descendant from a semi arid landlocked country in Southern Africa, Botswana is my homeland and Gaborone is my capital city. my name is Cavin Rowayi a passionate environmentalist and Archaeologist graduate having 5 years of professional field work and volunteering ,I started the conservation journey in 2011 with the University of Botswana Wildlife Environmental and Conservation Society(UBWECS), since then I started community projects of litter picking, environmental education, tree planting(afforestation ) and youth empowerment.

I have been a volunteer in several Environmental NGOs such as the Kalahari Conservation Society, Birdlife Botswana, Cheetah Conservation Botswana, Wildlife ACT, Tshwaraganag Charitable Society just to name a few, in 2017 I founded Green Habitat Botswana, an NGO aimed at restoring degraded land and forest, the NGO has also partnered with primary and junior schools to kick start and revive environmental education in schools. My vision is to see change in the mindset of humans in taking care of their environment since we only have one Earth, a place we call home. Human Nature came at the right time when we need more conservationist to send out the message and educate people on the importance of environmental conservation and management, we need to learn more on human-environment co-existence.
