Meet the Team
I am Roger Delamou, born in the South-East of Guinea, at the foot of the Nimba Mountains, which dominate the surrounding savannahs and are an area of great ecological wealth. Their slopes are covered with dense forests classified by WWF as Guinean altitude forest, which attracted the attention of naturalists who have devoted important studies to flora and fauna since the colonial period.
My name is Francesca Leronni and I am a conservation and sustainability enthusiast. As for many people, my love for nature finds its roots in my childhood: grown up in Italy, I have always loved to take care of the plants and animals around me, and I have always been fascinated by the secrets and the beauty of seas and woods. It is heart-breaking to see all of this threatened at a global scale.
Hi there! I’m Mashiyyat from Antananarivo, Madagascar. I completed my undergraduate in marine sciences, and recently obtained my Bachelors degree. Due to this, I am very conscious of the threats that weigh on Malagasy biodiversity, and chose Ecotourism and Biomanagement as the subject for my Masters. This potential for this to be used as a force for good, balancing environmental protection with economic development, inspires me.
I am Mina Maurice, an Egyptian guy from Alexandria, Egypt. I work as a pharmacist and science communicator and I seek to do a masters in the biotechnology field. I have always dreamt to save and change the world since I was a very young child. Every day I realize that I can achieve that dream through volunteering which must be a part of everyone's life. I am Rinzin Dorji from Bumthang, Bhutan. Bhutan is a tiny Himalayan Kingdom rich in biodiversity, covered in 71 % of its geographic area by forest and 51% by protected areas. I work under the Department of Forests and Park Services in Bhutan since 2013 after completion of my Bachelors of Science (Hons.) in Forestry from India. Bhutan is one of the very few countries in the world to feature environmental conservation explicitly in its Constitution and mandates that “a minimum of 60% of the land is under forest cover for all times to come”.
My name is Oliver Riley-Smith, I am 17 years old and from the UK where I am at Eton College. My life purpose is to help protect nature from the crimes of man. All I want to do is make a difference: as big a difference as I possibly can and then some more. The purge on wildlife worldwide is something that I wish to dedicate my life to, to give back some that which we have stolen from the planet.
